The man caught on camera making monkey gestures targeted at Manchester United players of African descent has been suspended by his employee Kier Group.
According to BBC , “After social media speculation that the person allegedly making the monkey gestures worked for the infrastructure firm Kier Group, the company tweeted an employee had been suspended “pending an investigation”.
The company added: “We’re aware of a video circulating on social media. We take allegations and instances of racism very seriously and are currently investigating potential links between the individual involved and Kier.” —Manchester derby racist abuse claim: Man arrested
The firm put out this tweet:
Kier has a zero tolerance policy towards any racist and discriminatory behaviour. We can confirm an employee has been suspended pending an investigation.
