- The children were rushed to a local hospital where they were put on life support
- Three days later, they were taken off life support and died 14 minutes apart

Police are searching the XBOX of an eight-year-old boy found hanging by a dog leash alongside his younger sister in the basement of their Pennsylvania home.
Conner Snyder and four-year-old Brinley were discovered unconscious by their mom Lisa Rachelle Snyder, 36, in Berks County on September 23.
Police now say they are searching Connor’s XBOX for clues in the mysterious deaths and have also seized iPads, cellphones and a laptop, crimeonline.com reports.
A warrant read: ‘The eight-year-old victim is known to play video games and view various internet websites utilizing the X-Box gaming console.’
The children are said to have been found on opposite ends of the same plastic covered dog leash.
Snyder immediately called 911, and first responders at the scene were able to revive both children.
They were then rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where they were placed on life support but died three days later and 14 minutes apart after they were taken off life support.
The family dog – medium-sized Husky and Pit Bull mix – is understood to have been given away.
Police are searching for the animal and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Ian Keck said: ‘By determining the dogs (sic) actual weight and sized (sic) utilizing a scale will assist in the criminal investigation. All of this is important to the criminal investigation and reconstruction of the events surrounding this incident.’
An autopsy last week was inconclusive. The coroner has said forensic testing is needed before he can rule on the cause and manner of death.
Police are continuing to investigate and no arrests have been made.
However, welfare officials said the siblings, who lived with their mom and 17-year-old brother, were known to Child and Youth Services. The children did not see their father, according to reports.
Cathleen Palm, the founder of Center for Children’s Justice, told WFMZ that according to the state Department of Human Services, the siblings were receiving general protective services.
Palm said these services are made in cases where there is concern about a child’s welfare.
‘That’s a really hard thing when two children die at the same time from the same home,’ Palm told the station. ‘That makes the community want to know more.’
Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams said it is still too early in the investigation to release any information.
He said: ‘It’s a real head-scratcher. I wish I could say something about the case.
